Healthy Calvert

We envision a community in which all have equal access to care, resources and information to make informed decisions, and are provided a safety and support network to care for the needs of mind, body, and spirit.

To promote health & wellness, disease prevention, equity and reduction of health disparities. We provide resources, guidance, and information at little or no cost in an effort to foster access to care, and enrich the quality of lives that we touch (mind, body, and spirit), especially the most vulnerable in our community.

Through a partnership between CalvertHealth, the Calvert County Health Department, local faith communities, and other community organizations we provide:

• Access to health screenings
• Education and health information programs
• Referrals to community resources
• Advocacy for vulnerable individuals
• Promotion of reduction in health disparities

1. To educate the children in on our community on the risks involved with substance use and to increase suicide awareness
2. To help close the gap related to disparities and access to care by providing resources to a diverse group of individuals in our community
3. To establish an effective method of communication through Health Ministry members and create a tool kit for new and existing members
